No shop updates today. I have a batch of ornaments to paint, but never got around to it. I was too busy preparing for my husband's birthday, and preparing for my Florida trip tomorrow. When I get back I will be having a rather large update. Sorry everyone! You probably wont hear back from me until I get back from Florida next week. Off I go to pack my bags and clean house.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday my dears. Just a short stop in to say hello and wish you all a well weekend.

I am working on ornaments to be added to the shop next Tuesday. You can see my little work tray on the couch there next to the guitar. That was my little work space last night while watching Grey's Anatomy and Project Runway.

A few extras for you! Christine is having yet another doll giveaway! I am not entering, since I won the last one. So that leaves an extra chance for one of you to win. Head over to her blog to enter.

And for a classic apple cider recipe head on over to A Field Journal. Looks and sounds delicious.

Hope everyone has a cozy autumn weekend!

teeny tiny shop update

In the midst of cleaning and rearranging my house, I was able to take a break and make 3 new things for the shop. This swan dwelling, and two new Christmas ornaments. I am almost done unpacking and cleaning my house, so I will be having a Christmas ornament update before my mini vacation to Florida. (which is next Wed.)

I am also adding a set of three bluebird ornaments to my jessicajane shop.

One was painted blue and doused in crystal white glitter. One is doused in a fine blue glitter. And the third is a fuzzy flocked blue bird.

I may be looking into putting up a few custom order listings in both shops in a few weeks. I am going to dwell on that one. Hope you are enjoying your Mondays! I am off to clean again.

Marine Corps Birthday Ball 2009

The Marine Corps birthday ball was Friday in downtown San Diego. We had a blast!

11.05.2009

yuck.

Our things came early Sunday morning! I couldn't be happier.....BUT, it's quite the mess at my house. This is what I have been dealing with all week long. The kitchen, living room, and dining room, are all clean by now. The art room is the worst. The bedroom is almost done.

Tomorrow night is the Marine Corps ball. Hopefully I'll post some photos during the weekend of that!

Lollishops Design Team, project #2

Yay, November is here! What does this mean in my life? I get to travel to Florida to meet my new nephew soon, I turn 24!, and I get to post my design team project. :)

The 1st of each month, for three months, I am showcasing my Lollishops Design team project. If you'd like to see my last one, click here. Or read up on what the Design Team is about here.

Lollishops design team kit sponsor this month was - Chocolate Letters.

The kit I received in the mail included lots of vintage Christmas themed bits and bobs. I loved it. For some reason I have had the itch to decorate for Christmas way early...but I haven't given in quite yet. I figure all of my ornament making, and this project, would hold me down for a while.
Last Christmas I made a banner that read "Merry Christmas". I thought all of these vintage pieces would look great as a banner. So I used all of the different ribbons and made one! My favorite had to of been the dark green pom pon trim.

I loved this little Santa head.

If you click on the whole banner image, you will get a bigger version of the photo.

Who doesn't love a nice festive banner?

Each little triangle is different and makes it unique. The bottom banner measures about 5 feet long, I would say the top on measures 3 feet. That is an estimate.

My husband wants to keep this banner. Haha. But since we already have one, I am going to give this one away at the beginning of December with my winter giveaway.

Check out the Lollishops Blog to see the other 4 design team projects, and what they did with their kits!

Happy Halloween!

Just a quick hello to say Happy Halloween! Pumpkin carving was a blast last night...I ended up carving two, but this one is my favorite.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for my second design team project for Lollishops! It's a Christmas themed one. :)
